Shakti CUT-120 SiC — three-phase heavy-duty plasma cutter (120 A) plus MMA welding in one machine. Genuine Shakti, in stock at Multi Trade Combines, authorised Shakti dealer, AT Road, Guwahati.
The Shakti CUT-120 SiC Combo is a heavy-duty combination welding and cutting machine built on Shakti's SiC (Silicon Carbide) three-phase inverter platform. It integrates two functions in a single cabinet: plasma arc cutting at up to 120 A output for structural steel, boiler plate, stainless steel and aluminium; and MMA (Manual Metal Arc / stick electrode) welding for joining operations. For fabrication contractors and heavy engineering shops that routinely work with 20–40 mm plate and structural steel sections, this combination eliminates the need to carry and power two separate machines on site or in the shop.
The SiC inverter technology is the key to the machine's performance in Northeast India's grid conditions. Three-phase supply voltage in Assam's industrial areas can vary significantly, especially during peak load periods and at the end of feeder lines. SiC inverters are more tolerant of input voltage variation than older transformer-based or IGBT machines, maintaining stable arc output through moderate supply fluctuations that would cause other machines to arc unstably or trip. Multi Trade Combines is an authorised Shakti dealer supplying the full Shakti welding and cutting range from our AT Road, Guwahati counter.

Guwahati's growing fabrication and structural steel sector — producing storage tanks for petroleum depots, pressure vessels for industrial plants, structural sections for bridge approaches and building frames — works with plate thicknesses where a 40 A plasma cutter is inadequate. Heavy boilermakers and structural fabricators in the industrial estates along Amingaon, Changsari and the Numaligarh industrial corridor need 80–120 A plasma capacity to cut efficiently through the 20–40 mm plate used in their work. The MMA function of the CUT-120 handles the joining side of the operation using 5 mm and 6 mm electrodes at high amperage settings. This machine pairs naturally with ESAB and Ador electrodes, electrode ovens for rod drying, and the welding safety kit — all available from Multi Trade Combines as the authorised Shakti and ESAB dealer in Guwahati.

The CUT-120 SiC Combo is a dual-function machine: it cuts with plasma arc up to 120 A capability and also welds using MMA (stick electrode / ARC welding) mode. A fabrication contractor with one CUT-120 SiC has both heavy plasma cutting for structural steel, boiler plate and thick bar stock, and a high-amperage MMA welder for joining — without carrying two separate machines to site. The three-phase SiC inverter technology maintains cutting and welding performance even under the variable grid voltage conditions common in Northeast India's industrial areas. At 120 A plasma output the CUT-120 SiC is rated for clean plasma cutting on mild steel up to approximately 40–50 mm thickness and can pierce and cut stainless steel and aluminium at reduced thicknesses. For comparison, a 40 A plasma cutter is limited to around 12–15 mm on mild steel. The 120 A output makes this machine the choice for heavy fabrication yards, boiler shops, pressure vessel fabricators and structural steel contractors dealing with 25–40 mm plate regularly.
