Pulling Lifting Machine — Tirfor Wire Rope Hoist, 0.8 T to 3.2 T

Manual Tirfor-style wire rope pulling machine in 0.8 T, 1.6 T and 3.2 T — omnidirectional pulling and lifting for construction, recovery and rigging across Northeast India.

Tirfor-Style Cable Pulling and Lifting Machine — 0.8 T to 3.2 T

A Tirfor-style manual cable pulling machine (also called a wire rope grip hoist or come-along) is the most versatile manual lifting and pulling tool on a construction or recovery site. The jaw mechanism grips the wire rope on the forward stroke and releases it while returning — the operator can pull an indefinitely long rope through the device, exerting a sustained 0.8, 1.6 or 3.2 tonne pulling force with modest lever effort. Because the pulling direction is dictated by the rope angle rather than by an overhead attachment, the machine can pull horizontally or at any angle — an enormous advantage over a chain hoist that must hang directly above the load.

In Northeast India's challenging terrain and infrastructure environment, pulling machines are genuinely essential tools. Construction crews lifting and positioning precast elements on sloped sites, telecom tower erection teams guying and erecting lattice masts, bridge-deck workers tensioning guy wires, and road contractors recovering plant that has slid into the embankment all use Tirfor-style pulling machines routinely. Even tea-estate managers recovering tractors and field machinery stuck in wet field conditions use manual cable hoists where a tow truck cannot access. Multi Trade Combines stocks all three capacity grades at our Guwahati counter.

Choosing the Right Capacity Pulling Machine

In stock at Multi Trade Combines, AT Road, Guwahati — ships across NE India

For light site work — pulling light cables through conduit, lifting and positioning equipment under 600 kg, tensioning fence and guide wires — the 0.8 T (800 kg) model is sufficiently light to carry easily and fast to operate. For vehicle recovery, pulling stuck plant machinery and handling structural steel up to 1.2 tonnes, the 1.6 T model is the right step up. The 3.2 T cable hoist handles truck recovery, heavy-plant extraction and the heavier structural duties that site crews encounter on major infrastructure projects in the Northeast. All sizes come with wire rope and hooks; the machine body is forged and heat-treated for working strength at rated load. Multi Trade Combines also stocks chain pulley blocks, lever hoists and webbing slings as companion lifting products from our AT Road, Guwahati counter. Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Tirfor-style cable pulling machine used for?

A Tirfor (wire rope hoist) cable pulling and lifting machine is used to pull, tension or lift loads using a wire rope fed through the jaw mechanism. Unlike a chain hoist that requires an overhead attachment point, a cable hoist can pull horizontally, vertically or at any angle — extremely useful for recovering stuck equipment, tensioning guy wires, pulling cable through conduit trenches and extracting embedded piles. Capacities of 0.8 T, 1.6 T and 3.2 T cover most site pulling tasks. Call +91 91812 13332 for model details.

What is the difference between a 0.8 T and a 3.2 T cable pulling machine?

The capacity rating indicates the maximum safe working load — the force the machine can exert on the wire rope when pulling or lifting. A 0.8 T model is suited to light vehicle recovery, cable tensioning and small equipment placement. The 3.2 T model handles heavier equipment pulls, stuck truck extraction and structural steel tensioning. All models use the same jaw-grip principle and can pull a rope of any length by releasing and re-gripping in repeated strokes. WhatsApp +91 76359 98826 to confirm current stock.
