Techmo T-5 Heavy-Duty PU Castor

Techmo T-5 heavy-duty polyurethane castor on a 4 mm pressed clamp bracket — floor-protecting, heavy-load industrial trolley castor for factory and workshop use.

What is the Techmo T-5 Heavy-Duty PU Castor?

The Techmo T-5 is a polyurethane-wheeled industrial castor mounted on a 4 mm pressed steel clamp bracket, designed for heavy-duty trolley and mobile equipment applications where load capacity, smooth rolling, and floor protection are all required. The polyurethane wheel combines the load-bearing capacity of a steel or cast-iron wheel with the floor protection and noise-reduction properties of a rubber wheel — it does not mark or damage smooth concrete, tile, or timber floors, and rolls significantly more quietly than hard-wheeled castors at the same load rating.

Multi Trade Combines stocks Techmo castors — including the T-1 rubber, T-3 PU, and T-5 heavy-duty PU variants — at our Guwahati counter. Castors are available in fixed (non-swivel) and swivel configurations, with and without brakes. The T-5 is the heavy-duty end of the Techmo PU range, specified for industrial workshop trolleys, heavy material carts in factory environments, and mobile equipment in settings where floor loading and surface protection both matter.

Who uses heavy-duty PU castors in NE India?

Manufacturing plants and assembly workshops across Assam's industrial belt use heavy-duty castors to fit material-handling trolleys, component transfer carts, and assembly jigs that need to be rolled between workstations on concrete factory floors. A four-castor trolley carrying 400–800 kg of steel components, raw material, or finished goods needs castors engineered for that load rather than light-duty hardware-store wheels that deform, fracture, or mark the floor under industrial conditions.

Tea factories across Upper and Lower Assam use PU-wheeled trolleys to transport withered leaf, dried tea, and packaging materials on the factory floor without contamination from steel or rubber debris. The quiet rolling of PU castors is also an advantage in office and hotel trolley applications — housekeeping carts, laundry trolleys, and catering equipment in Guwahati's hotels and hospitals increasingly use PU castors for noise control.

Pairs well with fabricated steel trolley frames, which our industrial spares counter can source, and with chain blocks and lever hoists from our Lifting & Handling range for loading and unloading heavy items from the trolley. The complete material-handling solution starts here at Multi Trade Combines.

Frequently Asked Questions

What load capacity should I specify for industrial trolley castors?

Specify castors with a combined rated load (sum of all castors on the trolley) at least 1.5 times the maximum intended load, to allow for uneven floor surfaces that can load individual castors beyond the theoretical equal-share figure. For a trolley carrying 1000 kg on four castors, each castor should be rated at a minimum of 375 kg — meaning a 400 kg rated castor is the minimum safe selection. The Techmo T-5 heavy-duty pressed clamp castor is designed for industrial trolley duty; specify the wheel diameter and bracket size to match your trolley frame dimensions.

What is the difference between a pressed steel and a fabricated castor bracket?

A pressed steel castor bracket is formed from flat steel sheet by a press tool — fast and economical to produce, with adequate strength for medium loads. A fabricated bracket is assembled from steel sections by welding or bolting — heavier, more expensive, and used where loads exceed the capacity of a pressed bracket or where a special geometry is needed. The Techmo T-5 series uses a 4 mm pressed clamp bracket, which provides good rigidity for industrial trolley loads up to several hundred kilograms per wheel while remaining economical for standard trolley applications.
