Kirloskar monoblock centrifugal surface pumps from 0.5 HP to 5 HP for domestic overhead-tank filling, agricultural irrigation and light industrial use — authorised Kirloskar dealer Multi Trade Combines, Guwahati, price on request.
A monoblock centrifugal pump is a surface-mounted pump where the impeller and the electric motor are a single integrated unit — the impeller sits directly on the motor shaft with no separate coupling. This makes monoblock pumps compact, easy to install, simple to maintain and reliable for moderate-head water supply applications. They draw water from an open well, sump, pond or stream using a suction pipe and deliver it under pressure to overhead tanks, irrigation lines or process points.
Kirloskar's monoblock range (branded under Star, Nova, Jalraaj and other series) covers 0.5 HP to 5 HP and is the most widely sold surface pump brand across India. In Northeast India, the Kirloskar monoblock is found everywhere — from Guwahati's residential areas to tea estate irrigation systems to small construction sites. Single-phase models run on domestic 230 V supply; three-phase models above 2 HP run on 415 V.
Multi Trade Combines has been an authorised Kirloskar dealer in Guwahati since 1993. We supply and recommend monoblock pumps matched to actual site conditions across Assam and the Northeast.

A complete pumping installation includes:
A centrifugal monoblock pump can theoretically lift water up to about 8–9 metres on the suction side under ideal conditions. In practice, with pipe friction, bends and altitude corrections relevant to NE India, a practical suction lift of 5–6 metres is the safe design limit. This means the pump must be installed within about 5–6 metres vertically above the water source — an open well, sump, pond or stream. For deeper sources, a submersible pump in the water is the correct choice. Monoblock pumps work best when the source is a sump tank, open dug well or surface pond — not a deep borewell.
Yes — a Kirloskar monoblock pump (single-phase, 0.5–2 HP) can run on a petrol or diesel generator of appropriate kVA rating. As a general guide, provide 2–2.5 times the motor HP in kVA from the generator. A 1 HP (0.75 kW) pump needs at least a 2 kVA generator with AVR; a 2 HP pump needs a 4–5 kVA generator. Ensure the generator voltage is stable (AVR type) — voltage fluctuation is a leading cause of motor winding failure. In rural Assam where power outages are frequent, pairing a monoblock pump with a small generator is a very common and practical arrangement.
