Counter expertise from Multi Trade Combines, AT Road, Guwahati — serving Northeast India since 1993.
The Bosch GKS 190 is a 7-inch professional circular saw with a 1 400-watt motor that cuts through structural timber, engineered wood, plywood, composite cladding and fibre-cement sheeting with clean, straight edges. At 66 mm maximum cut depth at 90 degrees it handles 3-inch nominal timber in a single pass — the standard joist, purlin and rafter dimension used in roof construction across the Northeast. The bevel cut capability (up to 56 degrees) enables compound angle cuts for hip-roof rafters and staircase stringers.
The magnesium base plate keeps weight low at 4.0 kg and resists the knocks and corrosion inevitable on Northeast India's outdoor construction sites where monsoon humidity is extreme. A rip fence, parallel guide and 55-tooth TCT blade are included, and a dust extraction port connects to standard vacuum hoses for enclosed site work. Anti-splinter insert reduces tear-out on laminate surfaces.
Who buys this machine in Northeast India? Building contractors in Guwahati cutting floor joists and roof members on high-rise residential projects; furniture manufacturers in Jorhat and Dibrugarh ripping plywood and MDF sheets; modular kitchen installers sizing panels; tea-estate workshops cutting timber for bungalow maintenance; prefab structure erectors in Meghalaya cutting steel-framed infill panels; civil contractors in Arunachal Pradesh trimming formwork panels for hillside retaining-wall construction.
Accessories that extend capability: Bosch Expert multi-material blades for aluminium composite cladding, Standard for Wood blades in fresh-cut timber, diamond blades for thin fibre-cement sheet, and a tracksaw rail guide for cabinet-quality sheet ripping. We stock blades and guides at our Guwahati counter.
For plywood and laminate use a Bosch Standard for Wood TCT blade with 48–60 teeth for clean, splinter-free cuts. For faster ripping in solid timber a 24-tooth ATB blade is faster. We stock both grades at our Guwahati counter — call +91 91812 13332 to confirm.
With the correct blade, yes. Use a Bosch Expert for Fibre Cement blade for cement board and a Bosch Standard for Aluminium blade for thin aluminium sheet. Never use a wood blade on metal or cement board — it is dangerous and damages the blade quickly.
